What a world we live in!

Sometimes it seems as though everyone is only out for what they can get, never mind who they hurt and the damage they cause along the way.

I’ll chop your hand off, then you’ll chop mine off.

I’ll take something so you can’t have it, then you’ll take it back so I can’t have it.

I’ll get thin so that you’ll look fat, or here’s a beauty – I’ll get a new car on the “never-never” so that I look wealthy and you won’t.

What a world we live in!

But underneath all of this the good stuff is still happening. For example, I recently saw a young person help an old person across a busy road, and go out of their way to do so.

People still give their seats up for pregnant women and the elderly on public transport.

Men can still be seen holding doors open for ladies and escorting them through.

There are still those who greet others with courtesy and consideration.

What a world we live in!

Confusing to say the least. Sometimes very difficult not to just give in and go with the crowd.

But remember this. There is only one of you. You are completely unique in the entire cosmos. Never ever to be replicated exactly the same ever again. Wow, what a wonderful thing and what a world we live in. 8+ billion of us and all of us completely unique.
